Preface

This Dev-log is solely dedicated to my Patrons & my Followers.

To explain what happened, and why I've returned.

To My Patrons & My Followers

Long time no see, my fellow Netori enjoyers.

As you may remember, I had to unfortunately cancel the production of Black Rose last year.

Because of medical reasons that were unfortunately out of my control...

I won't go into the details of that, but let's just say 2023 was a grueling year because of this.

However, now that I've finally got this problem under control...

I've returned to make the announcement, of my return to work on this project.

The truth is, even though I said I would stop working on this project.

I just couldn't bring myself to forget about this game.

And so, I found myself writing out the rest of the episodes for a project that had been canceled.

Which in a way, gave me something to focus on whilst I dealt with this medical issue of mine.

As I look around online, I still see the 'Netori' niche still isn't properly being catered to.

It's always...the 'other one' (Cuck simulators); or just plain old Vanilla.

Which hey, if you like either of those; to each their own (not judging).

But in a way, Black Rose was one of the only games that really had the potential to pull Netori off.

So when I canceled Black Rose, it must've been quite a devastating blow for a lot of you.

To have that one Netori game, that you had put your hopes in, be put to rest so early.

I saw all of you showing your support for the project, just from it's first release...

Angered by this injustice, I knew I had to focus on my recovery.

To fulfill my purpose.

So you know what?

Not only am I making my return, I'm going all in to claim the title of being The Netori King around here.

Because...

All of you deserve to have your Netori preference catered to, just as much as the other guys.

And because who the hell doesn't want to experience the thrill of taking another man's wife?

Wrong as it is, it just feels so right (you know what I mean).

Now just how do I intend to claim such a title...

The Plan

First, as an atonement to my Patrons that had been financially backing me on my Patreon, right before I had made the decision to pull the plug.

I want to offer to all of my previous Patrons, free early access to the 0.3 & 0.4 builds.

As I believe you are owed that much for supporting me, before I had to disappear.

I know it won't make up for the lost time, but I hope it will be enough to rebuild the trust.

And if you ever feel ready again, it would be great to have you return as my backer.

Secondly...

The reason I've taken my time with getting 0.3 done, is because it will blow the previous two updates out of the water.

I've taken notes from the survey my dedicated Patrons participated in.

And it has affected tremendously how 0.3 is shaping up to be.

I've been spending more time learning & mastering the software I'm using to make Black Rose -A Netori Story-

Improving my workflow, and implementing something that has been long requested since the first build...

Let's just say the jump from 0.2 to 0.3 will not be a leap, but a slingshot across in terms of quality.

Finally

I shouldn't have cancelled the game so hastily, I should've only paused the development. 

But I have learned from this.

As terrible as my sudden disappearance was.

I do feel it gave me some time to reflect on the mistakes I had made with my first attempt, and where I was going with this project.

So yeah, we're back in business.

Nothing's going to stop me from fulfilling this game's ambitions anymore.

It's going to be an uphill battle, that I'm ready to take on.
