It's that time again...

🎃?

No, not Halloween.

Something much more terrifying...

I'm talking about the final hours of this update's development.

Where I'm working round the clock to get it ready for release.

This I find is always to be the most daunting part of working on any update.

As the fun creative part is over, and now you just need to make sure it's all ready for the world to see.

It's that moment where you're pretty much locked in.

No major changes or additions can be made anymore, as you just need to polish & refine everything you've got.

Honestly guys, whilst I wish it wasn't so stressful.

I guess it's also what makes this kind of exhilarating for me as well.

Knowing soon enough, the episode that I've worked on behind closed doors.

Will be in your hands.

It's going to be an exciting time, I believe.

It's especially exciting for me, because I've had Sachie's scenario for this episode written all the way back in 2022.

It has remained in my mind how it would go, and how it should play out for 2 years now!

So as I've been working on it, I'm starting to see this imagined episode that's remained in my imagination, finally come to life!

But...it's still pretty rough admittedly 😅

Lots of Placeholders still being used, and quite ambitious elements that I've never done before this update.

All I'll say for now, is with this update, I'll have expanded my tool-set for making updates.

Usually I only use the rendering software, Renpy, and maybe a bit of Gimp (not the mask).

Now I've had to include video editing software, a game engine starting with the letter 'U', and a bit of Blender into the workflow for this episode.

Trust me guys, that's a story I'll have to tell you another day...

Now as I've said at the beginning, it's that time again...

That time of year where the young'uns will go knocking door to door like they're Jehovah's Witnesses.

Yes, now we're talking about Halloween 🎃

I see a lot of creators do something for this holiday, and I myself am hoping to get in on the fun.

I have an idea for something I'd like to do, regarding Black Rose, for Halloween.

But with all my attention being centered on getting 0.4 done, I'm unsure if I'll be able to do the idea before the 31st.

So I'm really hoping to get 0.4 done asap, so I can try pull off this idea I've got for you all.

No promises there, but thought I would mention it.

Rounding this off, I know I haven't been posting as much this month.

And that's quite bad, I'll admit.

But I promise, that's because I'm really focused on the update that I have to get done now.

Maybe I should post one more sneak peek before the update gets finished.

But yeah, very hard to split my focus right now.

I think I posted a lot more before, because I was in the creative process of an update.

Now that I'm in the 'get it done' phase, I really have to just focus.

Lock myself in a room, and block out the world type of deal.

Honestly though, working on this episode has got me feeling hungry...

After this is all done, I'll have to have a bowl of ramen for myself.

You'll know what I mean, when you get around to playing through the latest episode ;)
