I didn't want to have to make this post.

This isn't going to be easy to write out to all of you, so please read it carefully.

After almost 5 months from Black Rose's first release to the public.

I've been given no other choice, but to cancel the project.

What happened?

The reason for this, I cannot go deeply into.

Because, it's personal reasons outside of the project.

All I can tell all of you, is I was left with no other choice.

Not long after the game's initial release, a problem in my life started to appear.

One that would make working on Black Rose very difficult.

Still, seeing people enjoy the game.

I wanted to deliver on the ambitions I had set out for the project.

I didn't want an entire year of planning, research, and development to go down the drain.

Nor did I want to disappoint every one of you, who put their faith in me.

So I finished 0.2, despite all the troubles it was causing in my real life.

And was going to do the same with 0.3, but then something bad happened.

And now, I'm forced to make this unfortunate post to all of you.

What Will Happen from here?

I should mention that I've issued a refund for new Patrons who've joined after June 2nd.

And I've paused the billing for my current Patrons, so you won't be charged in the month of July.

I will keep this Patreon up before July ends, so Patrons can salvage anything they want.

The Discord Server will remain open for just a little bit longer, before I inevitably have to close it down.

And for now, I will leave Black Rose's Itchio page up for those who still want to download it.

But as it is, everything is cancelled.

There will be no more content updates, no more work done on the project.

This is final.

My Final Message to my Fans & Patrons

I'm sorry.

I'm truly sorry.

No words can express my regret for the unfortunate circumstances.

If you're angry, or disappointed.

I understand.

I made promises that I couldn't keep, so I understand if this all comes as a disappointment.

If I could continue on, I would've.

But that just isn't the case sadly.

Before I go away, I would like to say thank you to my Patrons for their contributions.

My Fans, and my Friends who've all shown me support on this endeavor.

I met some really cool people through this project.

I only wish this didn't have to end in vain.

Still, what was accomplished in the two releases.

I hope it did something for someone out there.

I'm sure there's lessons to take away from this experience, that I myself will remember.

This will be my last post on the project.

All I can say is, I wish to one day tell the story I had to tell.

But for now, I'll have to sort things out in the real world first.

So please take care, and please forgive me for this unfortunate cancellation.
